About | Naman Shah
The name Topnaman is a play on Top Ramen, the popular instant noodles brand which forms a staple part of the diet of graduate students, bootstrap entrepreneurs, and starving artists – in general young people who have little time or money to spare. Ironically, as a vegetarian I’ve actually never eaten any Top Ramen, Maggi happens to be my favorite microwave food.
I love public health – it is my chosen vehicle for participating in the dialogues and decisions which communities undertake. Consequently, I’m training as a physician and infectious disease epidemiologist through the MD/PhD program at the University of North Carolina and working for the National Institute of Malaria Research in India.
